Big Chief Nursery School & Camp
Big Chief, a family-owned and operated camp, has been in operations since 1954. Big Chief prides itself on being large enough to provide campers a wide variety of activities, yet small enough that every child gets the individual attention they need. The campers are in the age range of 3 to 12 years and are organized in age-wise groups. Some of the sports programs that the campers can choose from include soccer, basketball, hockey, volleyball and tennis. All campers are given swimming instruction by certified Water Safety Instructors. Besides sports, some of the other activities offered to campers include wood-working, gardening, arts & crafts, animal care, ceramics, rocketry and cooking. A registered nurse is on call 24/7 during camp. Excellent staff, dedication to children, modern facilities, nutritious food and an exceptional program has earned Big Chief its fine reputation.
