Long Island University - C.W. Post Campus is widely recognized for its Cooperative education program and this private education facility was built in 1954 originally for the education of veterans from World War II. There Cooperative Education program blends academic education with work fields centered on students majors and career endeavors. CW Post Campus offers two ways to co-op, the parallel plan makes it possible for students to attend CW Post full time and work part tome for 15 to 20 hours a week. The alternate plan allows students to work full time and leave the campus for a whole semester and still affords students their financial package keeps it in tact. They have a very extensive list of co-op employers for this program for most any career you may want to enter.

Long Island University - CW Post Campus

CW Post Campus of Long Island University is highly noted for its fabulous landscape with its rich green lawns and perfect lined tree paths. The college sits on close to 308 acres and is also home to the famous E.F. Hutton families. This University was named after the founder of the Post Cereal Company Charles William Post. CW Post offers some very old historical information and learning as it is located on the spectacular Gold Coast of long Island. There is an anarboretum open to the public where anyone can enjoy the walking trails and see an actual 100 variety of trees. Some key attractions that will amaze you are the 100 year old White Oak sitting just in front of the Sculpture Building. You can see the set of Copper Beeches at Lorber Hall planted way back in the 1900s.There are around 4000 trees and 75,000 Daffodils and Tulips the tour is truly splendorous and is free and open daily.

C.W. Post features a state–of–art Library that includes 500 computers with free internet access and electronic email. Students are able to view their grades, class schedules, financial aid package statuses and billing information. Other technological advancements include new music laboratories for multimedia arts and computer science. The Schwartz Library offers the largest resources around the area and top research aide.

CW Post Campus offers the best 70 acres of sport fields the university has an 18.5 million dollar recreation facility that features volleyball, a 3 court gymnasium, olympic size swimming pool, dance studios, jogging/walking track, and racquetball courts. Both men and women NCAA teams enjoy the use of these super playing fields. Serious athletes, teachers, and students all love this ultra modern play ground.

Not only does the campus offer the best in educational facilities but they also are known for their unique and wonderful arts and cultural activities. They have over 200 events each year that provide the best in plays and recitals, symphony, dance, rock and pop concerts by the world's leading artists, and art exhibits, lectures and conferences.

Their Institute for Arts & Culture along with Lincoln Center Institute for Arts in Education has designed a school partnership program. This unique program was created to bring hands-on arts activities to help develop insight into music, dance, theater, and visual arts in students and teachers from pre-K through high school.

The world renown Tilles Center for the Performing Arts recently celebrated their 25th anniversary and will be bringing back some of the old time favorites to perform. Some of the famous performances will be "Danny, King of the Basement" at Roseneath Theatre, "Hansel and Gretel" at Lille Kartofler Puppet Theater, and "SWAN LAKE" performed by The Tchaikovsky Ballet & Orchestra just to name a few.
