Hi! I have a 12 year old daughter with Autism. Currently in public school. She is in 6th grade prt-time self-contained and the rest of the day Reg. Ed. Program not working. Am looking for private school who will cater to Autism. Does anyone know of one.

Thanks-
Cecilia

What district are you from?

Seaford. Why does that matter?

How much do you know about Gerst? I heard some negative things.

Gersh is a very small middle school located in Hauppauge, I called there myself, my daughter is high-functioning, bright and has a nonverbal learning disability, inclusion in middle school is not working out.  The thing that turned me off of Gersh is the fact I was told there are very small classes with predominantly boys in them, that would not help girls who want to socialize with other girls.
