Paumanok Elem school in Dix Hills is supposedly a K-5 School but in reality it's a 4th grade elementary school
The principal lets the 4th grade teachers do whatever they want and the hell with the rest of the school
The principal lies to the parents and looks teachers in the eyes and lies to them
It's a sham that central office doesn't do anything about it

The ultimate aim of which is the overall elimination of red tape and wasteful spending while concurrently promoting safety in all our schools. This is a progressive outlet committed to amplifying the voices of everyday people. Our organization involves volunteer participants and allied collectives organized along the principles of open and transparent decision-making processes, open public meetings and forums, and consensus building.

SchoolWatch will fight for:

·        Transparency and fiscal responsibility in schools

·        Fair contract negotiations in collective bargaining situations

·        Adequate funding for State mandated services

·        Alternatives to property taxation to fund schools

·        Safe schools and healthy educational environments

·        Students to receive appropriate educations

·        Uncovering school corruption and deceit

·        Educational reform and making schools work better

·        The community – not special interests!

SchoolWatch will support:

·        Fund raising activities for education and sports

·        Alternatives to property taxation in order to fund schools

·        The educational needs of our entire student population

·        Safe schools and healthy educational environments

·        Challenging and changing the system for the better of all kids

·       Interschool athletics, field trips and other extracurricular activitie

THE PRINCIPAL AT OLD COUNTRY RD ELEMENTARY IN HICKSVILLE IS NO BETTER. DIVISION OF KINDERGARTEN CLASSES WAS NEEDED DUE TO OVER ENROLLMENT. PARENTS WERE NOT NOTIFIED TILL THE LAST MINUTE WITH NO PRIOR NOTICE THAT THIS WAS EVEN GOING TO BE A ISSUE. WHEN HE WAS ASK WHO DIVIDED THE CLASSES HE SAID THAT HE SAT WITH THE TEACHERS AND THEY DECIDED WHICH STUDENTS TO TRANSFER. NOT TRUE. WHEN I SPOKE WITH ONE OF THE TEACHERS SHE SAID HE DECIDED. I FEEL THE STUDENTS THAT WERE LATE ENROLLMENT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST TO BE MOVED TO A NEW CLASS NOT THE STUDENTS THAT HAVE BEEN ENROLLED SINCE THE SPRING. EVERY QUESTION THAT HAS BEEN ASKED TO HIM REGARDING THIS ISSUE I FEEL IS NOTHING BUT A LIE TO COVER HIS OWN BUTT. THIS IS HIS FIRST YEAR AS PRICIPAL AND I HOPE HIS LAST...
