A senior in High School has been experiencing fainting spells. Has gone to multiple Drs. and what they all agree on is it is in no way life threatening, and that she should be able to continue her normal daily schedule excluding PE. Dr.s have written notes and these have been supplied to the school. Recently - with only a few weeks left - the school has decided to kick this student out of the building and are offering home schooling for the remainder of the year. This is a Senior - good grades - and wanting nothing more than to finish her high school year. We are trying to fight this but continue to hit brick walls. I'm looking for any help on who would be the correct person to address this. There are only a few weeks left - and it feels like we are fighting a losing battle.

Absolutely ridiculous. If she has clearance from Dr. there is noreason why she should be denied access to class. The chain of command should be followed. Start with building principal which I'm sure you have done. Next go to Asst. Superintendent and then Superintendent. Demand a timely response and tell them you are considering contacting an attorney and the NYS Ed. Dept. Good luck.
