Hello. I'm looking to transfer my 12 y/o daughter to NHP Memorial HS this coming shool year. Can someone pls tell me if there is a uniform policy? Also, any info regarding afterschool would be helpful. My husband is a teacher in Queens and informed me that afterschool programs do not take place until Oct as the school has to see if there is room in the budget to support such a program. They also need time to see if there are enough kids to even begin an afterschool program. I would just like to double-check this with someone as Nassau schools might be different than Queens schools. Any info would be very helpful. Thank you in advance...

There is no uniform requirements for the public schools in New Hyde Park, and yes the after school programs do no start until October. Please be aware that you must be a resident of New Hyde Park, and not just use a relatives address to gain access. They WILL find out!
