Hofstra University's Saturday Classes for Young People program's spring semester begins on February 9, 2008. The program is designed to enrich the intellectual levels and curiosities of children ages 3-18. With classes in academics, athletics, fine and performing arts and more, there is something for everyone on Saturday mornings. The two newest programs are the Hofstra Gifted Academy(H.G.A) and the Hofstra REACH program, a program designed to benefit childern with Autism.

The classes are for students looking for extra assistance or enrichment in desired areas, as well as specialized fields such as Rocketry, Robotics, Forensic Science, Creative Writing, Computer Animation, Video Game Development and much, much, more.

If you have any questions, or are interested in receiving a brochure about the program, please do not hesitate to call 516-463-5373 and speak with the director, Joe, who can also be reached by email at joseph.lombino@hofstra.edu. The website that you can visit to learn about the program and look at the courses offered is www.hofstra.edu/ccepa.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Yes they are very similar courses. This new class goes more into the creative process of putting on a play. It does sill culminate with an on-stage performance at the end of the semester. It is taught by the same teacher, who has a wonderful reputation and is amazing with the kids, which I'm sure you already know :-)  I look forward to seeing you again in the spring! Any other questions, please email our director, Joe Lombino, at joseph.lombino@hofstra.edu, as I do not check this website regularly. Thank you very much!

My son took the reading classes when he was younger but now he is in Middle school do you know of any classes that he can take to help him with his writing?  He needs help with writing essays and reports and things like that.
