Help with deferring costs for catholic school - 6/14/2007 9:16:47 AM

Hello, everyone.  I am hoping someone can help me and point me in the right direction.  My 8th grader just graduated from Jr. H.S. and has now been accepted into St. Mary's H.S. in Manhasset.  We are thrilled.  Here's our problem......the tuition is $7,300.  And yes, that is the only catholic school that will accept him, so switching to another one is not an option at this point.  I have not been successful in finding any type of scholarships or any type of aid whatsoever.  Our first payment begins in August, and I am struggling with how to afford the monthly tuition payment.  Public school is not an option that we would ever want to explore.  Can anyone steer me in the right direction?  Thank you in advance if you can, and thanks for even opening up this post and listening to my struggle.  Please keep my four boys in prayer.  We want to do the right thing for them and give them the best education that we can.  Thanks so much.

Hey Cecilia if your son can't receive any financial aid or scholarships your only option left will be to apply for student loans. You can try google.com and research more in detail. I suggest you look into that if the school is charging higher interest rates.  The tuition $7300 seems like a lot of money and I wish you the best of luck in finding funding for your son's education.

No, unfortunately I was not able to find financial assistance.  My husband and I stuggle every month.
