I am looking for a clarification of the Garden City School District boundaries and policies. I am a military officer moving to the area. I have been informed that because the local government of Garden City has such a strong dislike for our military personnel and their families, that military children are barred from attending the Garden City schools. Is this true? What schools are the military children bused to?

I don't know if that is true, but I know that E. Meadow Schools have alot of military families.

I don't know if that is true although people from garden city are pretty snobby (money). Anyways if that is true they can go suck a egg. Signed former grunt!

Garden City is a good district, but it is a snobby town. I wouldn't want to live there even if I could afford it.

It is a money thing. It is 20K a kid to send them to GC schools and the army base pays no taxes. So GC would have to hike taxes to put the army kids in school, good luck on that.
