Hi, I grew up Western Suffolk (Lindenhurst) and have been living in Massachusetts since college. We now have two boys -5 & 7, and are considering moving back to LI in the next few years. We've been browsing Eastern Suffolk-North and South Fork communities. We'd like to reside in an East End town ABOUT as West as Wading River, Moriches, etc. In Mass, our school district has classrooms which are all integrated/inclusion for children with Special Needs. My eldest receives services for OT, Speech/Social Skills etc. He is on the high functioning end of the Autism Spectrum. Does anyone have any info regarding schools in the East End? I would like to find a great school which has inclusion classrooms with services to assist my child. Thanks in advance to any suggestions! -Kim

I am a teacher in a public school on the south shore of Nassau County, but I grew up on the north shore in Suffolk County. I attended school in the Shoreham-Wading River School District. I graduated in 1991, so I'm sure it has changed a lot, but from the perspective of a student and also now as a teacher... it was an excellent school!

some of the better North Shore areas include Mount Sinai and Miller Place -- I'd consider both.
