"Michael Alguera's Dream" So much for the kids dream I guess. This situation is a travesty and we continue to sell our kids short. This handball court (as are the hundreds of others in N.Y.) was a good thing. It is so sad that just because our system neglected to maintain and secure it, we are taking it away. Sweep it under the rug. Another problem solved. The handball community (see: Streetplay.com/handball discussions) knew this was going to happen. The trend is ridiculous and so predictable. It must be reversed. For our kids sake. Not every kid can be a football or basketball player. Some don't have the parents devotion to help them get involved with such organized sports. They very well just might not have the time or money it takes to join such sports. Handball fills a very necessary need for thousands of kids and we refuse to see that. Where do you think you are displacing these kids by removing their place to workout and relieve their stresses? Possibly the very woods that the bad ones came from. We desperately need to fulfill "Michael Alguera's Dream" and put an effort into organizing team handball as a legitimate school offered sport. Our kids are crying, no, dying for this. If there is anything that I or the handball organizations I belong to ("United States Handball Association" and "The Next Leve Handball Associationl", can do, please call me @ (917)653-0888 tonytlc2000@yahoo.com Sincerely, Anthony "Coach" Lopilato
